Licence to Practise National Registers terms, conditions and refund policy



1. Information about us
1.1 (our website) is brought to you by People 1st (People 1st or we, our, us) the sector skills body for hospitality, passenger transport, travel and tourism.
1.2 People 1st is an employer-led registered charity, working to transform skills in the sectors they cover.
1.3 We are a private company limited by guarantee and registered in England and Wales under company number 2557730. Our registered office is at Hospitality House, 11-59 High Road, London, N2 8A. We are registered charity number 1001041.

2. The National Registers
2.1 The Licence to Practise National Registers will be referred to as the 'National Registers'.
2.2 There are 2 National Registers, both of which are owned by us as part of our website:
(a) PCV Driver Trainers
(b) Taxi & Private Hire Drivers
2.3 Individuals who apply to be on the National Register do so to be recognised as a professional within their industry. The National Register is available to employers in the passenger transport industry.
2.4 National Registers are open to all parties that have achieved the stated qualifications in the last 3 years. Any individuals that have taken the stated qualifications more than 3 years ago will need to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to be recognised and remain on the register.
2.5 These Terms and Conditions will govern your National Registers’ registration with us.

3. Registration term
3.1 You will be listed on the National Register for 3 years from the date of your registration.
3.2 Renewals are required after 3 years and are subject to CPD being undertaken and evidenced.

4. Registration Fees
4.1 Registration and recognition on the National Register shall be conditional upon the payment of the appropriate subscription fee.
4.2 Renewals take place every three years at which time a further fee is payable.
4.3 Payment is accepted in GB Pounds only.

5. Notice Period
5.1 You will be informed 28 days (the Notice Period) before your registration expires that you are due to renew your registration for the National Registers by the Renewal Date (the third, sixth, ninth etc.  anniversary of your initial registration).
5.2 If you do not pay the renewal fee by the Renewal Date, you will be advised that you must login to renew your record and pay the required fee in order to be recognised on the National Registers.
5.3 If at the end of the Notice Period, you have not renewed and paid the renewal fee then your recognition on the National Registers will end.

6. Right to cancel & refunds
6.1 You have a right to cancel your registration within 7 days of submission to receive a full refund. If you decide to cancel your registration you will have your record removed and no longer be recognised on the National Registers.

7. Termination
7.1 You will cease to be recognised on the National Register:
(a) on the expiry of any Notice Period if you have not renewed your registration; or
(b) if you are found to have provided false evidence for the qualifications you have stated you have gained.
7.2 If you cease to be recognised on the National Register in accordance with clause 7.1 you will remain liable for all fees up to and including the date when you cease to be a recognised.

8. Application Rejection
8.1 Your application will be rejected if:
(a) you do not meet the criteria of holding the qualification required; or
(b) you do not give the required information that clearly states where and when your qualifications were gained; or
(c) you do not provide an uploaded certificate.

9. Data Protection
9.1 By accepting these National Registers Terms and Conditions, you agree to the use of your information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
9.2 In addition, you agree that your profile is available to view by employers in the passenger transport and travel industry.
9.3 For your security and peace of mind, the National Registers will not supply your details to any organisation for marketing purposes.

10. Applicable law
10.1 If you are a consumer, please note that these terms of use, its subject matter and its formation, are governed by English law. You and we both agree to that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
10.2 If you are a business, these terms of use, its subject matter and its formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
